So I am newly obsessed with the HBO hit "Game of Thrones". The first season on had 10 episodes but DAMN they were all good. I love Tyrion Lannister, the Imp, and Daenerys Targaryen, the Khaleesi. She is one badass chick. She's naked all the time and had dragons. How cool is that?? Anyway so I just bought tickets to the NY Comic Con in October and am totally dressing up as her for it. Getting the costume made by a local seamstress here in Newport. Here is a pic of the dress <3 Muah.

Our Life is Changing 03/10/2011
So I bought the new house and I'm all settled in. It was quite a process but I'm glad its over and we can move on with our life. Dylan joined the Air National Guard and I've been helping him prepare for Basic Military Training. He leaves April 12 and will be gone for about 8 months! We've started a running and exercise routine because he is "out of shape" (not fat) and is nervous about everything, but mostly the physical fitness part of it.
I made him a Air Force Rank Study Guide so if any of you need it please download it. I couldnt find one on the web anywhere!! OH and I got promoted to Tech Sgt this weekend!!

Did I just really buy a house?! 01/05/2011
Happy New Year!! So to bring in the New Year, I just bought a house!! I am so proud of myself ya know? I didnt have to get married and rely on a man to help me buy a house... I bought it on my OWN all by myself. At 29 years old. That is an accomplishment and I am so excited to move in.
More Pup Stuff! 11/22/2010
Here's my latest and greatest puppy project! My Mom and I had the idea to take photos of all the pups in our family and put them into a panoramic graphic and frame them and hand them out as Christmas gifts to all the pup owners. It came out super cute!

Steampunk! 10/12/2010
So I went to the New York City Comic Con this weekend and it was basically AWESOME. There were a few people dressed up as steampunk and there were a few vendors there. Dylan and I have talked about getting dressed up for a steampunk convention before and now I am super motivated because I am making this ring! <--
How cool is that? I found an old watch of my Gram's and took it apart and it was beautiful just like this one, with ruby movements. Who knew old mechanical watches had rubies in them to make them work? Anyway looking forward to making this and possible more to sell in the future.

Here's something I made a couple of years ago. A co-worker mentioned her daughter wanted to get a blue lobster paisley tattoo and I was inspired and created my own. I had an idea for like a minute that I could make lots of money making these into playing cards and selling them in the little shops around Newport. What do you think?

ONI Det Wall
So last week a project that I have been working on at work for about 2 years is finally done! The project was a wall design to go outside of the Office of Naval Intelligence Detachment at the Naval War College. The final design was approved about a year ago but with a shift in personnel in their office it kind of got lost on the priority list.
Then a new Commander came in and basically got the ball rolling again and got the money to "get 'er done". I got watch the contracters install it and it turned out beautifully. Sorry the photos are dark. The area is in a basement corner with low light.

Wow. So I just got home from drill and it was fun as always.
Saturday morning kicked off with an interview with 4 Chief Master Sgts on a board for NCO of the year competition. And it ended on Sunday by finding out that I have won NCO of the Year, AND Military Person of the Year for the Mass. Air National Guard.
Now on Oct 7 I have an awards ceremony banquet to attend to be formally recognized.
Good weekend!

I was recently contacted to re-construct a logo that someone had already started for the non-profit organization called G.H.E.T.T.O. which stands for "Giving Hope, Enrichment, Time, Trust, Opportunity center. As part of the TEAM PROVIDENCE Athletics G.H.E.T.T.O. is a community-based, non-profit organization providing academic support, career exploration, college readiness and athletic opportunities for youth middle to high school age in the greater Providence area and surrounding cities of Rhode Island. www.teamprovidence.org
Soaps. 08/27/2010
I finally made the watermelon soaps the other night. I learned that you should only melt one pound of the soap at a time. I ended up wasting a good 2lbs of soap not understanding what I was doing wrong! Anyway they came out good and smell great. The only thing is they have formed these weird crystals on them and are very slippery. I wonder if it was the vitamin E oil I mixed in? Anyway I also made lemon poppy cake soaps as well. I actually kind of like those better. The watermelon smells like jolly ranchers!
